Home Sweet HomeThey don’t call it Super, Natural British Columbia for nothing! Sometimes it’s nice to just be a tourist in your own home town for a while, and that’s just what we’ve done! If you’ve been thinking about coming to the west coast of Canada, maybe we can inspire you with our newest page:A Guide for a Romantic Vancouver Vacation
May to October is the best season for a visit to British Columbia (and really, the rest of Canada). This is an exciting time for the city, as big projects are being planned in preparation for the winter Olympics in 2010. New roads, new convention facilities, and rapid rail transit connecting the airport and downtown are in the works. I don’t want to come across as bragging at all, but really, I dare you to find a better looking downtown of any city in a more spectacular setting! (Sydney and San Francisco do come close, though).
In the coming months, we’ll also include Whistler and Vancouver Island in our B.C. section.
New Pages This Month in Excellent Romantic Vacations:London VacationFlorida Vacation Florida Beach Front Vacation Rentals Spring break is over, the insanity has died down, and it’s safe to return! We’ve started our Florida section, which will grow in the coming months to include more on southern Florida, including Miami and Key West. Did you know that Orlando is considered perhaps the cheapest place in the world to rent a car?!

Useful WebsitesOften we’re asked about any internet travel sites that we use often for various aspects of travel planning, etc. Here’s a couple we use regularly:
The Universal Currency Converter is a handy little site for making quick currency conversions – just enter the amount, choose the currencies you’re converting and click to get the exchange!
The Lonely Planet Thorn Tree is a great travel forum! There are thousands of messages and remarks here, including many from travelers on the road, so the info is fresh. Some very interesting stuff here – keep in mind however that it is all just opinions, and anything important should be double-checked with more expert advice. Romantic Travel TipsLeave It Behind – If you’re leaving for even a quick getaway, try not to drag the laptop, cell phone or any other work material with you! You’ll have a better time, more relaxation and better communication if you keep romantic excursions separate from business trips.Don’t Plan Alone – When deciding your vacation, go to the local library, and pick out some guidebooks together on possible destinations. Rent a travel video and watch it together. Or open up a big map on the floor and decide where the two of you will go. The more you plan and anticipate it as a pair, the more fun it will be!
