Welcome to our newsletter for the end of May! The summer travel season for North America and Europe is set to begin. Got any plans? Maureen and I will be on the road (and in the air) again this June to California – back once more to one of our favorite areas in the U.S, the central California coast/Carmel/Big Sur area. Can’t wait! Should make it to San Francisco and the Napa Valley as well, and we’ll be not only updating the California section of our site, but we’ll report back here in the newsletter next month too.

Go North Young Ship
The Alaska cruise season is here again (we see the cruise ships sailing out under the Lions Gate Bridge here in Vancouver every few days now!). Alaska cruises used to be popular primarily with the older age groups, but that has all changed. There’s more to do than just shuffleboard on the promenade deck now! The ships cruising up the coast are floating palaces of fine dining, dancing and live entertainment. And some of the Alaska cruise shore excursions are exceptional opportunities to really see the wild wilderness – tours of Denali and Kluane National Parks, flightseeing in a float plane or helicopter, and some unique Alaska experiences like dog sledding, whale watching and sportfishing.
