Hi everybody,
Welcome to our newsletter. Since our last issue, we’ve updated the site with a brand new logo and look! Hope you like it…(also had some nasty computer problems which delayed this edition, but everything is back on track).
We’ve got some features on a hot destination, some cold ones (but romantic all the same) and a few tips to make your holiday travels a little less stressful…
Table of Contents1) Romantic Destination: Miami2) New Pages This Month 3) Holiday Travel Tips 4) Top Ski Resorts for Couples 5) Latest Web Travel Deals
Romantic Destination: MiamiNow that hurricaine season is over, and everywhere else in northern hemisphere is getting cold, Florida sounds like the place for a warm romantic getaway!
Instantly, when you step off the plane at Miami International Airport, you feel the warmth and humidity. There are some great places all along the south Florida coast. South Beach, known for the Art Deco District, is an intriguing mix of interesting people, pastel colors, restaurants of just about every type, some great shops, and of course, the beach! Get all the glitzy details on our new Miami Beach Attractions page! (We’ll also tell you about a great little spot to unwind and enjoy a romantic picnic!)
What's New @ Excellent Romantic Vacations:Quebec City Bed and Breakfast HoneymoonCook Islands Vacation
More great romantic destination ideas in our Best Place to Honeymoon section. The Cook Islands would be a great place to be right now, honeymoon or not!
Another brand new section on our site! We've taken several of the most popular city destinations in the US, and scouted out some great places for a romantic dinner! We tried to offer a bit of variety in regards to location, food and atmosphere.
As we keep working on this section, you'll be seeing more info on romantic dinner cruises too...
Holiday Travel TipsLess Stress = A More Romantic Vacation! As you’re making your way through airports and airplanes this holiday season, here are a few tips to make things go just a little smoother:
Try to Fly Non-Stop: Every time you make a connection, you increase you’re chances of delays/missed flights/missed bags/bad weather/etc. Look for the non-stops when you book. Think about it: You might save $30 by routing through Kalamazoo, but what’s your peace of mind (and time) worth?! ID: Avoid a disaster by carrying proper ID: Your driver’s license or passport are the best forms of ID to carry. Tag Your Bags: Please make that each one of your bags has 2 name tags on it – one outside and one taped or fastened somewhere inside. Include name, address, and telephone number (it’s also a good idea to include your flight numbers and dates of travel somewhere on the tag, to help airline staff in case it goes missing). Carry-on Luggage: Everyone’s got extra over the holidays, so that means longer lines at security, and less room in the overhead bins. Go against the grain – travel simpler, keep the hand baggage to a minimum if you can, so that it’s lighter, and something that will fit under the seat in front of you. Eat Well Before You Fly: Airport restaurants will be jammed, and full meals are becoming rare on domestic flights. Carry a small bottle of water with you too. Taxi or Ride With Someone to the Airport: The less exposure you have to parking lots this time of year, the better! Get There Well in Advance: Try to arrive at the airport no later than 90 minutes before flight time. The extra time is worth the peace of mind. There’s nothing worse than arriving and finding a one hour line-up!
