Cheap Newark Flights: There are lots of airfare discounts on flights from Miami, Orlando, and Ft. Lauderdale to Newark, NJ. It’s worthwhile looking into as an alternative to the other 2 NYC airports. The distance from Newark to New York City (Manhattan) is only 12 miles (20 km). A taxi will cost about $35, and a shuttle bus from EWR to NYC is about $15.
