Romantic Travel Terms: Business Class
Business Class: A section of the airline cabin set apart from the economy cabin (coach) with more legroom, wider seats that recline further, personal entertainment, free drinks, gourmet meals, and more attentive service.
Is Business Class airfare worth it? For shorter flights, probably not, unless you can upgrade for just a few dollars more.
But for longer trans-continental flights and overseas routes, business class seating is nice! Maureen and I have been upgraded a few times, most recently to Tokyo, Japan and London Heathrow. On a flight to Sydney in business class, we even got little extras like slippers, individual dvd players, and cookies and ice cream!
Business Cabin cabins and seating are starting to take on a new look. Airlines are introducing sleeper-style seats for long, overnight routes.

Cheaper than Business Class: Premium Economy
If you can imagine a "first class economy air ticket", well, there's news: airlines are now starting to offer a premium economy class, a standard of air travel in between first/business class and regular economy. For usually a small surcharge on the standard economy or seatsale fare, you get some extras. Airlines now offering it include:
- Virgin Atlantic premium economy - bigger, wider seats, legrest.
- United economy plus - 5 more inches of legroom.
