Name of the Cuban All-Inclusive Resort: Club Valtur Tuxpan.

Location: Veradero Beach, Cuba. The resort is about 40 km from Veradero Airport. Taxi one way is about US$30 total for 4 passengers.

Rooms: Nice - very clean, with ocean views available on 3rd and 4th floors. Built in 1990, probably not quite to US&Canadian levels, but great value for the price. Maid service top notch.

Food: It's an Italian resort (70% of guests there were from Italy!) so the food was delicious! 2 different types of fresh pasta with every meal, along with pizza, chicken, ham, lobster, etc. And every morning, an omlette just the way you like.

Activities: If you like to be busy, you can - gymnastics on the beach, cycling, soccer tournaments, dance lessons, audience participation musicals at night. Free kayak and paddle boat rentals. Snorkeling tours available.

Beach & Swimming: Beautiful white sand, calm and warm crystal-clear water. Excellent for swimming.

Entertainment: Really entertaining musicals every night - Grease, Notre-Dame de Paris, Chicago and some Samba. A band played in the dining room for lunch and dinner, plus there is a piano bar and disco.

Excursions: You can take a tour around Veradero, or even into Havana (watch for all the old American cars!)

Shop For: Beautiful wood sculptures, local art.

We had a great time, and would go again anytime!
