A Guide for Romantic Florida Vacation Planning
Make Your Florida Vacation the Best Romantic Getaway Ever!

Another Fun Florida Vacation on the Beach in Ft Lauderdale!
By Greg Mattson, ERV Editor - Updated: Dec 27, 2011
If you're thinking about a romantic getaway in Florida, here's what we think are some of the best holiday spots for couples. Florida is a fine destination year-round, but especially so for escaping the Northern cold between the months of November to April.
Our favorite Florida beach vacation spots? Maureen and I love the fabulous Gulf Coast beaches around Naples, FL. On the Atlantic side, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne are excellent.
Our Florida pages also include Orlando, and romantic resorts in Florida's best spots, including the Florida Keys and Disneyworld.
Let's check out some of the best places to visit in Florida for romantic escapes and weekends away...
Our Picks: Top 3 Romantic Florida Destinations
1. Naples - while almost anywhere on Florida's Gulf of Mexico Coast has a lot going for it, Naples walks a fascinating fine line between leisure and luxury, with affordably romantic hotels & inns, a gorgeous beach just a few blocks from downtown, and sunsets that will keep you coming back.
2. South Beach, Miami - you always remember your first walk or cruise down Ocean Drive in "SoBe" - the collision of latin culture, art deco neon and palm trees all stacked up against what is probably the best white sand city beach anywhere in the U.S.
3. Key West - getting here through the Florida Keys is definitely half the fun! The south tip of Hwy 1 is blessed with a colorful Old Town that will have you people-watching for hours, and an atmosphere that feels more Caribbean than American!
Romantic Orlando
What's that? Orlando's not just for kids and families? That's right, for all kinds of fun things for couples to do, check out our Romantic Orlando Vacation page.

The Best Time to Go on a Florida Vacation
Vacation High Season in Florida: Usually from December to April.
You’ll notice the humidity much more in the summer, especially in southern Florida. That’s also when it will rain more. Hurricane season in Florida runs from June to November, with the severe period being July through September.
