Landolls' Mohican Castle - Romantic Lodging in Loudonville, OH

This romantic castle in Ohio is located in Loudonville (Amish country) and it was built using wood and stone from its property. It has Italian heated floors in the bathrooms and the cost of each suite is about what it would cost to build an entire house.

It has hand painted walls and ceilings, and is beautiful. There is also a pool/gym building, seperate restaurant and conference facility, and has some individual cottages.

Kind of pricy, but well worth it. Loved it!

Landolls the BEST kept secret

Landolls is absolutley AMAZING!! If you wanna go somewhere romantic this is the place to go. No it's not pricey at all. Well I dont think $189 is pricey though. They have carriage rides in the summer and sleigh rides in the winter and the property is just gorgeous. I would rate this a ten.

The only thing that we didnt like was it was really hard to find because they didn't have many signs and our GPS kept geting us lost, but it was so far away from everything it was well worth it! So romantic...more than I could have ever imagined. We wanna go back on Labor Day but they don't have any rooms available :( It seems like nothing else on the internet is comparable. Oh well I guess its worth the wait to go back on our anniversary, cant wait. Please if you are considering going here just do it - you wont regret it!

It is a beautiful castle in the middle of no where, awesome food, very romantic. The beds are so soft and the views are beautiful, carriage rides, etc....

Castle Suites Great - Cottages Not So Much

My husband and I just visited the castle for the first time. The first night we were there we stayed in the main castle itself and the suites were very well appointed and excellent for a romantic getaway. We had dinner reservations the first night and for the first 40 minutes were the only people in the restaurant. The food was okay, but not great. The second night we were supposed to stay in the new cottage and it was not nearly as nice. We asked to switch and when we checked out the Highland Suites, they weren't nearly as nice either although both were the same price as the castle suites. We will return, but would ONLY stay in the main castle itself.

Thanks for the submission...we didn't know anything about this romantic castle in North-Central Ohio (about 1/2 way between Akron and Columbus, OH).

The website (www.landollsmohicancastle.com) shows all sorts of luxury suites just like you describe, along with various specials and packages.
