We were thrilled by our discovery of the Whalesong House & Gardens this summer, a real working writers/artists retreat overlooking the tiny fishing village of Trinidad, California.

Even their website is a treat to experience at: http://whalesonghouse.com. The site quite accurately describes this secret hideaway which is usually recommended by locals to their visiting friends and relatives.

We expect to make it an annual anniversary retreat.
