The Poconos are known for spectacular autumn foliage. Try Route 6 as it winds it�s way through rolling farmlands, forests and mountains. It enters the Poconos around Lake Wallenpaupack. This road has been called one of the best scenic touring roads in America.

Route 209 is a nice back road where you�ll meet quaint little mountain resort towns like Jim Thorpe.

Poconos Vacation: Getting There

The Pocono Mountains are approximately 85 miles from both Philadelphia and New York City. That means that you could fly into either city as late as 6 or 7 PM and still be at your Poconos resort before 10 PM!
