SkyCity Grand Hotel – If you’re looking for a romantic Auckland hotel, we think you'll be very impressed with this one.

Close to Queen Street shopping and restaurants, the Skycity Grand enjoys one of the best locations in the downtown area (look up - you might see someone doing the famous jump off of the Auckland Sky Tower!)

We loved the scenic views, pool and lobby breakfast, a deluxe continental offering each morning of rolls, yogurt, cereal and fresh cofee which was included in our 4-night hotel package.

The hotel is part of Sky City, an extensive hotel, restaurant & entertainment complex in downtown Auckland, NZ, just a few blocks from the harbor.

Westin Auckland Lighter Quay- This romantic waterfront Auckland hotel is perched on the edge of the Viaduct Harbour, and many rooms have excellent views of the city and harbor.

This hotel offers spa treatments, and the workout room has a pool, sauna and hot tub. A nice choice for a honeymoon might be a corner Junior Suite with it's king bed and view of the Auckland skyline.

Esplanade Hotel – A great romantic excursion from Auckland City is the charming little neighborhood of Devonport on the North Shore.

The Esplanade is a romantic B&B style boutique hotel on the waterfront here, and this heritage building includes a range of accommodation from the simple but comfortable Windsor Rooms to a luxury suite and penthouse apartment.

And when you crave a bit more action, you're just a few steps away from the 10 minute ferry to downtown Auckland's shops and restaurants.
