- Elegant tranquility, plush bedding and fine dining are the features of this first-class luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Hotel reviews for the Metropolitan rave about the friendly staff, and spotless, spacious marble accented rooms.
Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel
- one of the most popular honeymoon hotels in Vancouver. 5 star luxury with ocean & mountain views. Terrific location on the scenic Vancouver waterfront close to shopping, float plane tours, and the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place.
Four Seasons Vancouver - Elegant rooms in a classic high-rise, wedding & honeymoon packages available too. While not a new property, reviews for the Four Seasons are generally positive, with good marks for it's spacious rooms and friendly staff.
Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver - This Vancouver luxury boutique hotel has a pool, outdoor sun deck, spa, and gourmet dining. It got's a great downtown location just a short walk away to all the shopping and dining spots on Robson St.
Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Downtown Hotel
- City, harbor & mountain views, massage, lap pool and health club. Reviews of the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle comment very favorably of the hotel's excellent location, excellent staff and great views.
Romantic Vancouver Hotels - Cruise Ship Terminal
The Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver is right at the Vancouver cruise ship terminal. It’s located at Canada Place, which also includes an IMAX theater, convention center, shops, etc. And just across the street is the Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver, an excellent honeymoon hotel with views of the ocean and mountains.
Tips on The Best Place to Stay in Vancouver
Here’s some more useful tips when deciding on where to stay for a romantic Vancouver vacation:
Hotels in downtown Vancouver are the best choice for easy access to shopping, restaurants, Stanley Park, and Vancouver tourist attractions such as Gastown, Granville Island, and North Vancouver attractions like Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain.
Hotels in Burnaby and New Westminster are far from downtown
Vancouver. They are cheaper, but you’re further away from all the attractions in Vancouver.
In Vancouver, Granville Street between the 1000 and 1300 blocks can be a rather undesirable area, especially at night.
Richmond, BC hotels are closer to the airport, if that’s important to you.
Distance from the airport to downtown Vancouver hotels: About 14 km’s (8 miles). Trip takes ½ hour by taxi or shuttle bus.

The Lord Stanley Suites are on Georgia St, across from the Park.
The Westin Bayshore Resort nearby is also right on the doorstep to Stanley Park.
