• Holiday Inn Express and Suites Tampa I-75 - Don’t you love it when a chain hotel surprises you and actually over-delivers? That’s how we felt after our 1-night stay in Room 320 at this IHG Hotel 20 minutes north of Tampa. The 2-bedroom suite was H-U-G-E, the jetted tub worked perfectly, they’ve got a palm-fringed outdoor heated pool (a nice surprise in January!), and, get this: there’s free ice cream sandwiches in the lobby nightly at 8:00 PM! What We Liked: Room was fresh and sparkling clean, loads of free parking, free hot breakfast. Worth Knowing: To book a Whirlpool suite, look for the Two Bedroom Suite on IHG.com - they call it a Garden Tub, but it’s jetted. 2024 ERV Rating*: 94% - Excellent. Spa Tub Size: 1 Person. Rates from $247/night. (8310 Galbraith Rd, Tampa FL 813-910-7171) Attractions Close to this Hot Tub Suite Hotel: Lettuce Lake (6 miles), Busch Gardens (10 miles).

• Hilton Garden Inn Tampa East/Brandon - Give me a Hilton Garden Inn spa bath suite close to dining and shops, and I’m happy. That’s what you get here at this solidly mid-range hotel just 15 minutes southeast of downtown Tampa. The King 1 Bedroom Whirlpool Suites are nice because they have a separate living area, and in addition to the tub, you get some niceties like Keurig Coffee machines, heated outdoor pool, and heaps of free parking. What Other Guests Liked: Very little outside noise noticed inside the rooms...Complimentary shuttle anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel. Worth Knowing: Shuttle doesn't go to the TPA airport. 2024 ERV Rating*: 80% - Very Good. Whirlpool Tub Size: 1-2 Persons. Rates from $165/night. • Country Inn & Suites Tampa Airport North - Thoroughly comfortable and priced right, these spa tub suites at the Country Inn also include free parking, free breakfast and free airport shuttle. I checked, and if needed, you can request a complimentary check-out time extension by 1 hour. If you need your romantic getaway in Tampa to be as budget-friendly as possible, it's hard to beat this Country Inn. What Other Guests Liked: Quiet for an airport hotel…Clean rooms. Worth Knowing: If you’re using Uber to/from the hotel, confirm that they know Benjamin Rd. 2024 ERV Rating*: 76% - Good. Whirlpool Tub Size: 2 Persons. Rates from $131/night. • Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Wesley Chapel - If you could perfectly combine comfortable Whirlpool tub bubbles with “bang for the buck”, you’d have this romantic Hilton 30 minutes north of downtown Tampa. The usual Hampton amenities are all here - complimentary breakfast and parking, pool, and...have you ever tried the beds at a Hampton Inn? I personally find them among the most comfortable of any major hotel chain. When booking, look for their King Bed Studio w/Whirlpool Tub. 2024 ERV Rating*: 90% - Excellent. • Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa - There’s a lot of hotels in Tampa that can get you into a hot tub suite, but none with as much entertainment, dining and action as this resort. Now, here's the situation with their tubs: the West Tower has the spa bath tubs (Gold Suite - see the photo above), but the rooms are not quite as nice as the East Tower, which have soaker tubs instead of jetted in the Gold Suites. 2024 ERV Rating*: 70% - Good. Whirlpool Tub Size: 2 Persons. Rates from $719/night. (5223 Orient Rd, Tampa FL 866-388-4263) Attractions Close to the Hard Rock Hotel: Ybor City Neighborhood (4.5 miles)

• BW Plus Yacht Harbor - How about an attractive in-room jetted tub close to a marina in this very attractive community inside the Tampa Metro Area? This Best Western is back fresh from a renovation, and I think the large rooms, corner Whirlpool tubs and onsite restaurant & bar, Bon Appetit, make this a solid choice. And as mentioned, it's got a great waterfront location (you might even see some dolphins!), which is only a couple blocks from a great little area of shops and dining in downtown Dunedin. 2024 ERV Rating*: 80% - Very Good. Whirlpool Tub Size: 1-2 Persons. Rates from $229/night. (150 Marina Plaza, Dunedin FL 727-733-4121) Distance to: Dunedin Downtown Market: (1/2 mile), Dunedin Fine Art Center (7 miles).

• Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park  - It’s hard to miss this Hilton on Carillon Drive, and you’ll be glad you didn’t once you slip soak in the bubbles of one of their King 1 Bedroom Mini Suites, which offer up a jetted tub in the master bath. Another thing I love about this Hotel is the convenient food and drink options: Starbucks coffee is available downstairs, and you can walk to Publix Market and Panera Breads. What Other Guests Liked: Lots of free parking...Cocktails for 2 on the romantic Lakefront Terrace. Worth Knowing: Pool could use a few more lounge chairs. 2024 ERV Rating*: 88% - Very Good. Whirlpool Tub Size: 2 Persons. Rates from $299/night.
